01 Exam Guide Prepare your computer

First of the five parts of the PeopleCert online exam guide: the checks to run on the computer you will sit the exam from, before booking day arrives. The video covers the system requirements for the exam software, the ExamShield installation and the compatibility test that confirms your machine can run the session, and explains why the check has to be done on the same computer, in the same place and on the same connection you will actually use.

The most common reason a candidate loses a session is a machine that fails the check on the day. Running it early leaves time to fix the problem or to move to another computer. The remaining parts of the guide cover the room, the documents, the start of the session and what happens during the exam itself.
