The Value-Focused Framework

A short promotional video on the idea that separates ITIL 4 from the editions before it: value as the organising principle, rather than process compliance.

Earlier editions were often implemented as a set of processes to follow, and were judged by whether the processes were followed. ITIL 4 reframes the question — what value is being created, for whom, and how do we know — and everything else, from the guiding principles to the service value chain, follows from that. Candidates who miss the shift tend to answer exam questions correctly for the wrong edition.
